Bridesmaid Dresses for Beach Weddings
When you are looking to dress your bridesmaids beautifully for the wedding, you need to keep the setting of the wedding in mind. You may have a rough idea of what bridesmaids wear to a traditional wedding, but what if you have chosen to get married at the beach?
Beach weddings are becoming more and more popular, and you will find that once you have dressed yourself that you also need to think about dressing the beautiful women who are going to be standing up for you. When you are thinking about what your bridesmaids should wear to a beach wedding, there are some terrific ideas for you to explore.
The first thing that you will realize is that even while you are looking for a certain uniformity or a certain singular look that it is very hard to find a fashion that will please several women or show off several different kinds of body types flatteringly. For instance, you will find that one thing that you can do is to indicate a certain color and a certain type of fabric, and then let your bridesmaids come up with their own dress design. This is a great way to get a unified look while still letting your bridesmaids look great on their own.
You may also want to think about what you can do to find a style that will complement your own dress. For instance, if you are going for a simple sheath dress, consider having them in similar versions that just differ slightly in cut or color. This will give your beach wedding a beautifully unified look.

It’s so true about getting every bridesmaid happy and the guideline about the fabric is so important. For my sister’s wedding, she had chosen our oldest sibling to be the maid of honor. When we were at David’s Bridal, my sister let the 5 bridemaids choose their tops and bottoms, as long as they were the same color. Unfortunately, one of the bridesmaid had found a top that was the same color but with embroidery. The top stood out during the fitting, and it didn’t make sense that if any one should stand out, it should be the maid of honor. What a mess, everyone opposed it except for that bridesmaid! Until the bride declared, “That top should go to the maid of honor,” it was a long running argument.
