A Few Etiquette to Consider during your Engagement Party

As engagement parties are just as important as the other pre-parties you are going to plan for your wedding. And like all parts of the wedding planning and all those pre-parties you, your groom and the rest of your guests will attend, there is still a needed courtesy and etiquette that goes with it.

An important etiquette to consider is about both your parents and you as a couple. An impolite way for you to introduce both parents is during the engagement party. It would be better if you can arrange a pre-engagement dinner for both of them and let them have a more intimate time together so that they will be more at ease and relax with each other during the engagement party.

Do not expect gifts as well during the engagement party. Do not feel bad when you do receive gifts from close friends or only had even a few. Keep in mind that the main purpose of the engagement party is to let your close family and friends celebrate your engagement. Do not worry about gifts anyway since you will receive a lot of gifts at the end of the wedding, but you will also need to prepare yourself since you will also nee to give gifts yourself such as your bridesmaids gifts and wedding favors.
