Giving Tips to Your Vendors
The issue about giving tips to your wedding vendors can be a bit tricky and this can also affect your wedding budget if you are not careful about it. Although there is nothing wrong with giving some extra bonuses to your vendors especially if they did a magnificent job, but allocating the right funds for each of them should also be considered.
Before signing any contract with your vendors, ask them first if gratuities are included in their quote since some may have already included it in the contract and just did not discuss it with you. Often tips are included in the overall bill of the catering and their transportation. The bartenders, banquet, wait staff, and event manager of the hotel also include a service charge in their contract.
Your wedding photographers and videographers can also receive some tips from you to about $50 to $200 per vendor especially if they did a great job. The same goes with your wedding planner. You can either give her a gift or a $500 or more if you are really satisfied with her job. Your bridesmaids who also helped you plan the event do not need to have a tip though since you are already going to give them their bridesmaids gifts
