Vendors and Controlling Them
An easy way to deal with vendors and not being ripped off by them is to have a written contract. You and your wedding vendors will need to put everything in writing so that you will not be in the losing end. You will need to specify your terms and they should understand the terms you have indicated.
Some brides even get shocked even though they have a written contract already because they forgot some details they thought will not happen at their wedding. One story is about a bride who has already acquired the service of a DJ and have already talked to the said DJ about her choice songs for her ceremony and reception sites was then substituted by another DJ at the last minute. The bride could not even complain even if the substitute DJ ruined her big day since he did not know and did not have her song list. And she still ended up paying for the services she did not even want.
To avoid situations like this, you always have to include in your written contract, a statement that indicates of you, not paying for their services and will expect a complete refund on deposits, if the vendor does not deliver what is expected of them. This way, you can make sure that they will do what is exactly you want from them.
At the end of the day, if all things work out well, you can still give them tips just like you giving your bridesmaids gifts. That is, if they did a great job!
