Celebrating your engagement gives you the opportunity to share with everyone the good news of your soon to be wedding. Your family and your friends will be there to support and encourage you and the groom and have fun the whole night about your future together. It will also create a chance for both families to know each other better since they will become one family soon.
Traditionally it is the bride’s family who host the engagement party, but nowadays, the groom’s family, the best man, or maid of honor can host the party. The location is not important as long as everyone can be comfortable and there is food served, then everyone will have a great time.
