Are Wedding Favors Important?
Although there is no said rule to giving wedding favors. You may even hold your own wedding without giving any wedding favors to your guests. Just that wedding favors have the same American tradition of giving groomsmen gifts or bridesmaid gifts. They are simply given because you want to show your appreciation to those who took part on your wedding.
Wedding favors have been long part of weddings since the 13th century where brides just simply give sugar cubes to her female guests. Today’s wedding favors have similar concept of simplicity. Although couples can still opt to make some grand gestures to their guests, but it will also need some money.
Wedding favors can come in form of candies, chocolates, bags, the couple’s picture on a certain display item, and even toys. Some couples may consider not giving wedding favors since they might feel that it will take a portion of their wedding budget. What couples also need to consider is their guests feeling. Couples do not need to spend a lot. They just need to find creative means to make their own favors and let their guests feel appreciated since they did not forget them in the end.
