The Look of Lace Wedding Gowns
Lace has always been a favorite of brides. You might think of lace as being a Victorian look, but designers have made lace available on all types of short sleeved and sleeveless gowns as well. It can be an accent on the sleeves, which adds a whimsical touch, or you can choose to have it cascade all over your dress.
Don’t think lace is a flimsy material – the different types of lace are beautiful and not what you will find in a typical dress. Lace can even be appliquéd to your dress, so you still have the beauty of lace without the fragile nature usually associated with this fabric.
Once you have selected the perfect lace dress, you can find wonderful accessories to go with it. Pearls are a classic choice, and go beautifully with lace. The veils can also incorporate lace, with the flowing beauty going down your back. The dress you select will ultimately dictate the look of your jewelry and veil, but lace dresses are very complimentary for a variety of choices.
The lace dress is timeless and classic. Don’t restrict your shopping to the more modern vogue dresses, or feel that you can’t have lace in a modern dress. Ask to see the different options with your bridal consultant, shop “lace gowns” on the internet and find the dress that will suit your special day perfectly with the romantic feel it deserves.

I had thought about not getting too much lace on my wedding dress. However, this has convinced me that maybe I should give it more thought. It might look rather pretty with a bit of extra lace.

You can also use lace to make a retro 1980′s wedding theme. Lace fingerless gloves and lace veil, with lacy busted top and skirt. Have fun with it!
