Heartfelt Thank You Notes
When you get married, you will receive many wonderful gifts. Your friends and family put a lot of thought into picking out the perfect thing for you; wouldn’t it be nice if your thank you notes were equally heartfelt? Instead of sending out pre-printed form letters, make each note personal and unique.
If you aren’t the crafty sort, you can still send a creative and personal thank you card. Find cards with a picture holder, and if you have pictures of the guests at the wedding, insert it into the front of the card. Tell them how much their presence and present meant to you. If you don’t have pictures of the individual, include a photo of you and your new spouse for them to keep as a memento.
Writing a letter is another way to send a thank you card. Wait until after the honeymoon, then write a form letter telling about the fun you had on your honeymoon. Computers make this so easy! Change the names at the beginning of each letter, personalize it with a mention of the gift, and include your thank you with the “wedding update”. A small memento such as a postcard from your Destination Honeymoon can be included to add a little zing to your note.
You will not regret the time you spend saying thank you. Purchasing a gift, wrapping, and getting it to the recipient takes time, and your gracious thank you will make the effort feel appreciated. Writing thank you cards does not have to be a daunting task if you make it a fun project. It can be a rewarding time that you share with your spouse as you discover how many people are cheering for your marriage.
