Tropical Wedding Guest Advice
Being invited to a destination wedding is very exciting. After all, not only do you get to attend the wedding of someone special to you, but you get to take a great vacation, as well! If you have never been to a destination wedding before, though, you will find that it is a bit different than going to a local wedding. These are some of the things that you will need to think about…
First, understand what your duties are when you go on a destination wedding. For instance, while you will be paying for your own transportation, remember that you should still present the bride and the groom with a gift. The only things that will be paid for, unless specifically stated, are the wedding and the reception. Keep in mind that you will be paying for your own hotel, food, and entertainment.
With that understood, you will find that there are plenty of things that you can do when you are looking to make things go more smoothly. One thing that you can definitely do to make it a little easier on the bride and the groom is to send your wedding gift to their home and then just present a nice card at the wedding itself. This will keep them from needing to have to carry home bulky bags or to pay for exorbitant shipping.
When you are looking for jewelry to wear to a destination wedding, keep in mind that it will likely be a great deal less formal than you might be used to. If you are looking at a tropical destination wedding, consider wearing something in light silver chain necklaces or perhaps something light and feminine like pearls. Have some fun and a throw in a bit of color. Destination weddings tend to have paler and more pastel palettes then more formal weddings, so consider something pleasantly light and breezy.
