Etiquette on Your Wedding
Wedding etiquete is so common and necessary since we don’t want to upset those around us just because we implied the wrong message to them. Your family and attendees should be given the right courtesy to make them a proud invites of your wedding.
The groom should make a date with his family and your family to formerly introduce themselves and get to know each other better. You can also plan with them the funds that would be spent for the wedding and what responsibilities they have.
When receiving gifts from your guests know the right courtesy of avoiding putting in your invitation your registry invitation, it would be better if you can make it known by word of mouth. The same goes with your requests of gifts. Avoid requesting specific gifts such as cash or expensive gifts, and even your bridal jewelry. This will just imply that you are more focusing on what you can receive from them than their presence. You can only accept those specific gifts only if they insist.
Your grandmother would want you to wear her old gown and her vintage wedding jewelry, but it is not your style. Explain to her in a nice courteous manner that you already have something in particular that you are going to use for the occasion. If she really insists that you use something from her, you can then look at her jewelry and find a wedding jewelry that you can probably use. You may even find a pearl wedding jewelry that you think is interesting for the occasion
