Judaism Story of the Wedding Veil
The story of the veil started way back during the 13th century where Assyrians, Persians and Greeks with noble status and the elite were the only people allowed to wear them. It was also used with religious significance in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam with the concept of covering the head
The most common story of the wedding veil dates back to biblical times. When Rebekah went to meet her betrothed, Isaac and veiled herself as he approached. The veiling symbolizes modesty and a definition of her personal space. It is interesting to see that she did not veil herself when traveling with other men to meet Isaac, but she only did when he was approaching.
During the ceremony, the groom places the wedding veil over the bride’s face and gives her a blessing. The veil stays on her face until the wedding ceremony is over, then the groom helps lift the veil off her face. And there with her bridal jewelry is the bride seen for the first time.

I like this story. The simplicity of life and love during those days are really worth reading.
