The Story of Wedding Gowns

Like any other part of the wedding, wedding gowns also share its own rich history. In olden times, princesses who were going to marry to another royal often wear expensive colors of red, purple, and true black-dyes. Their wedding gowns were long and they would literally glitter not because of their wedding jewelry, but because they gowns were sewn with precious gems of diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and pearls.

The middle class were of course wanted to join in that type of fashion so they will copy the style of those royal princesses by putting gems and used silk fabrics for their wedding gowns. Most of the time they used fox fur or rabbit fur to impress their guests.

Good these days that we do not have to use rabbit fur in our wedding dress, and there is not even a need to put diamonds emeralds and all those expensive gems just to impress. But there are still some similarities to our past and now since most brides are still depending on the latest fashion in wedding dress, then copying it as much as they can.

Although copying from a designer is still understandable and aiming to even wear them is just natural, but brides also need to keep in mind that there are still a lot of great wedding dresses that they can find so the options can be bigger for them.
