Just like your bridal jewelry, which you can have different choices, the types of photographers that you can choose from are also the same. There are different types of photographers, and some can cater to wedding, but some do not.
Photojournalists, hobbyist, and wedding photographers are just some of the types of photographers out there. Photojournalists are photographers who mostly take pictures of news and events so they are not suited as your photographer for your wedding.
Hobbyist on the other hand, can also be your official photographer especially if you are on a tight budget and a friend who is offering his or her services for free can also be a good catch. The bad side though when employing the services of a hobbyist is that you will not be certain if they can deliver the result you are expecting since they may not have all the tools a professional photographers have.
Most brides rely on the service of wedding photographers since they do not need to worry of what the outcome will be since they are known professionals in their field. Most have complete tools to accompany them with their work so the result for the wedding is much better compared to just asking a friend to take pictures of the wedding.
