Not all brides want to wear a white wedding dress. Although this is the most common way for brides, but for those who have already been married and for those who are not so young, choosing a white wedding dress may not be that suitable for them.

My eldest sister can attest that choosing a different color other than white do really look great on brides. Well, my eldest sister got married at the age of 36. She was old and some even say that she won’t even find the right guy for her. Fortunately she found the man she wanted to marry. She had a quick engagement and before she changed her mind again, she prepared a grand wedding.

However, she did not feel that wearing a white wedding dress is suitable for her. She felt that a better color for her should not be white, but instead she chose a blue wedding dress. When she told me about this idea, I thought it was going to be a disaster. Although blending colors with the white dress was so common and a lot of brides are doing that, I just couldn’t imagine a blue wedding dress and how it would look like a real wedding dress.

But wow! When I saw her blue wedding dress and her wedding jewelry, I felt jealous! The ball gown with a long trail at the back was so gorgeous. She did look like a beautiful bride. I was one of her bridesmaids and I was so excited to take part of such a lovely wedding. So I say if you wish to wear a different color other that white, then do so. You are doing the right thing since there are really so many great colors out there!
