Finishing Touches for Your Reception Venue

When you are decorating for your reception, you will probably think of the basic elements that are needed, such as centerpieces. However, for a really great design, you will want to take the next step. For a breathtaking wedding reception, remember to pay attention to the details.

Cover the Ceiling Up – Many empty reception sites have ceilings that are rather unsightly. If this is the case, make sure that you cover up that ceiling. Consider using swags of fabric, many little white lights, greenery, or anything else you can think of to distract people from noticing how ugly the ceiling actually looks.

Use Plenty of Textures – Textures can add a whole lot to an empty reception site. Go with materials that are interesting and that add to the dimensions of the room. Consider adding some branches or bamboo for texture. Even trees that are strung with lights are a great idea. Tulle can add texture, and disco balls even can add to your reception site as well.

Work on the Entrance – The first impression when guests enter the reception site is going to be important. So make sure that you work on the entrance so it all looks great. Have plenty of flowers, candles, luminaries, and other interesting things at the entrance that will wow your guests and welcome them into the reception site.
