Update Your Wedding Reception
Times have changed, and brides want their weddings to look fresh and modern, not traditional. You on longer have to do something a certain way because it has always been done that way. Be creative in creating the design for your wedding reception.
Often times, wedding flowers can look either fresh and new, or old and stuffy, depending on what you get. Stay away from bigger bouquets if you have an old fashioned looking reception hall, because those might cause your reception hall to look even more old fashioned than it already is. You want to also avoid using things that might already be in the reception hall but look old fashioned. For instance, if there are table decorations that are heavy or old fashioned, like cumbersome candle holders, try replacing them with clear vases full of water and floating candles.
The chairs and tables can also add to your fresh new look. Ask the reception hall if they have other styles of chairs that you can use, and browse through their selection of linens to be sure that you are choosing the best one for the freshest look. Also, adding plants and flowers throughout the room can make your reception look fresh and exciting, no matter what else might be there.
